When selecting a telco, I have prioritised the following
I need 5G for the fastest internet speeds
I need more than 100GB of data per month
I need more than 500 minutes of talk time
2GB roaming data per month for Malaysia (as I frequently visit there)
Based on my priorities, ZYM Mobile’s ROAM SMART plans work well for me.
This is what ZYM Mobile’s ROAM SMART plans offer for just $15.20 as of 28 December 2024.
5G forever as I port in from StarHub
200 GB local data
2000 minutes of talk time
Roaming 8GB data to Malaysia forever
All the above are well suited to my requirements. These plans also give 3GBroaming data for some Asian countries, including Thailand and Indonesia.
Step 02: Click on the “Get SIM” button on the listed plans (i.e. ROAM SMART)
Step 03: Review what’s included and click on the “Next” button
Step 04: Enter your details correctly and select a place to self collect
Step 05: Check the order summary and complete the purchase
Step 06: Check your email, then visit the location that you select for the sim collection.
So far, the network performance has been excellent. My previous connection was with StarHub 4G, and compared to that, this plan is a significant upgrade, especially inside the MRT.
This is purely a personal review based on my experience and needs. Your requirements might differ, and you may find a cheaper plan that better suits your usage. For me, this plan strikes the perfect balance between affordability and functionality.
